So You Want To Build A New Home? That’s Good!

We have been building homes for over 50 years in all sizes big and small. We have built tiny lake cabins, small affordable starter homes, large luxury homes, and everything in between.

We are custom home builders. We are not developers with only a couple kinds of houses to choose from. We are not limited to building the house plan that is closest to what you can find. Each home we build is unique to each customer, because each house was designed just for that customer.

How to Get Started?

If you are like most of our customers, you have an idea of what you want. You have some pictures, maybe a couple of designs from a magazine, or a sketch or two. The problem is, that you need help putting that all together into a home design that has all the features you want.

The first step is to call us. We will come meet you at your convenience and talk with you about your new home. You tell us everything you want in the plan. We will take all your information and draw up a preliminary design.

We send you the preliminary design. This can be done by email or regular mail or by meeting together again. This design includes a floor plan and some exterior renderings to help you see what the house looks like from the outside.

At this point, the customer usually asks for design changes. We make those changes and show how it will affect the outside and inside look of the house.

We send the updated design to you again. We go back and forth until the design is just how you like it.

When the design is just how you like it, we then price the home for you. Design and price changes even happen after this point depending on whether you want to spend more or less on the home. We adjust the design to fit your budget.

There is no charge for this service.

Seriously, we don’t charge for it. We feel that it is a needed service we can provide that simultaneously allows us a way to get to know each other and gives us a chance to earn your trust and perhaps the privilege to build your home.

Custom homes are the last on-sight, handmade product in the world. It is a large complex process that requires a lot of hands on management and a lot of building know-how. Besides, a new home is the largest purchase most of us will make in our lifetimes. You want to make sure you hire a builder who understands that and knows what he is doing. You want to hire us!
