Next Steps
Here’s a helpful guide for when to pick out the things that go into your home while building it.
Designing Along The Way
If you are already building with us, then we are excited to get started and we want to give you some information that will help you along the way. Your home is not only the largest purchase most people will make in their lifetime, it is also the last onsite, handmade product in the world. To build your new home takes a coordinated effort of dirt movers, masons, framers, roofers, siders, electricians, plumbers, drywall hangers, finishers, carpenters, utility services, and much, much more.
And all of this will be handled by us for you. We will take care of all the details to your liking, EXCEPT for your shopping list! Your part in making sure things go smoothly will be selecting the products that go into your home in a timely manner.
See below for helpful information about when we need your selections during the building process.

Want to make a change?
If you decide you want to change something in the home as it’s being built, that’s no problem. Let us know, and we can discuss it with you and, if necessary, design the change together. Any change you want will be described in a written Change Order including the price of the change and any affect it will have on the schedule. With your signed approval, we will make the change.
Allowances are just budget items. If you have $20,000 in allowance money for kitchen cabinets, for example, and your cabinets cost $22,000, that will increase the price of your home by $2000. We will then add that to the contract price to cover that extra cost. If your cabinets cost only $18,000 then that decreases the price of your home by $2000, and you will be credited that amount.
